Moseley mixes it up in Worlds team relay

Downhill world champion Tracy Moseley made an unusual appearance inyesterday's cross country team relay at the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships in Champery, Switzerland.
Mosely filled the role of the required female racer on Great Britain's team relay squad. She competed wtih Kenta Gallagher, Grant Ferguson and Liam Killeen.

Fatigued Kittel withdraws from Vuelta


Marcel Kittel (Skil-Shimano) has withdrawn from the remainder of the Vuelta a Espana, following Thursday's 12th stage to Pontevedra, won by Liquigas-Cannondale's Peter Sagan.
Kittel, winner of stage seven, had always planned to leave the Vuelta early according to team manager Rudi Kemna, and will now focus on his preparation for the UCI Road World Championships at the end of the month.

Cavendish confirmed for Tour of Britain.



HTC-Highroad has confirmed that Mark Cavendish will be part of its selection for the Tour of Britain, which starts in Peebles, Scotland, on September 11. The news reported by British newspaper The Telegraph ends speculation on whether Cavendish would take part in the eight-day event following his withdrawal from the Vuelta a España almost two weeks ago.

Leopard-RadioShack merger announcement came as a surprise to Andersen.


The announcement of the new RadioShack-Nissan-Trek team for the coming season came as a surprise to Leopard Trek sports director Kim Andersen, who was informed of the deal only by a Danish television station after the press release was issued.
