Rosseler to join Garmin-Cervélo

Belgian Sebastien Rosseler announced yesterday that he intends to sign with the Garmin-Cervélo team for the coming seasons. The 30-year-old from Borgloon, Belgium revealed the switch on his personal web site yesterday.Cyclingnews received confirmation of the potential acquisition, but according to Slipstream Sports CEO Jonathan Vaughters, Rosseler has yet to put a pen to the paperwork to finalize the deal.
Rosseler's announcement indicated that he is being brought in as a motor for the team's time trial squad with an aim toward the new team time trial world championship race which is being instituted in 2012.

Menchov aiming for third Vuelta victory

Dennis Menchov has passed very much under the radar this season. Affected by allergies and physical problems at the Giro d'Italia, the Russian rarely featured in that race’s key moments as he finished a slightly disappointing eighth overall. Sidelined from the Tour de France for the first time in a decade as a result of his Geox-TMC team’s failure to get an invite, he instead rode the Tour of Austria, finishing fifth overall. He now looks towards the Veulta Espana which starts in less than three weeks.

Skil-Shimano enjoys its first WorldTour victory

German neo-pro Marcel Kittel, the winner of the Tour of Poland's, made history for his Skil-Shimano team on Sunday in Warsaw. Kittel's victory was the team's first WorldTour success since the Dutch Pro Continental squad formed in 2005.
