Tour of Utah raises competition level in USA

The Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah is one of three stage races to attract the sport's top teams in 2011, and together with the Amgen Tour of California and the USA Pro Cycling Challenge in Colorado it has brought about the "heyday" of cycling for the United States, according to USA Cycling CEO Sean Petty.

The 2012 Tour of Poland could be held during the Tour de France

The 2012 Tour of Poland could be held at the same time as the Tour de France in order to avoid the London Olympic Games, organiser Czeslaw Lang has told Cyclingnews.
“We’ve asked the UCI if it’s possible to move the dates,” he said. “Because of the TV coverage, it's impossible to have the race at the same time as the Olympics.”

Olympic test event: Cavendish, Goss and Farrar confirmed

Mark Cavendish, Matt Goss and Tyler Farrar will go head to head at next week’s Olympic test event. The London Organising Committee for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympics Games today released the provisional start list for the London Surrey Cycle Classic.

Tour of Beijing enters WorldTour

The UCI announced this week that its licensing commission has awarded the Tour of Beijing a WorldTour license for the next four years, but despite a requirement of the top ProTeams to compete in all WorldTour events, AIGCP president Jonathan Vaughters indicated that the top squads might not be present on the start line come October 5th.
